Dealflow Coordinator
Citrine Angels is seeking a part-time Dealflow Coordinator to support our 501(c)(6) operations and help the Board of Directors advance its mission to increase the number of women investing in women. Applications are currently being accepted.
The Dealflow Coordinator will work with the Director of Citrine Angels and the Dealflow Committee to filter, vet and assist with the coordination of startup companies who apply for investment. This position will help shepherd companies through the Citrine process to determine if they proceed forward to present to our members for investment purposes. A small portion of time will also be spent with the Portfolio Committee, which assists with post-investment activities.
Tasks include:
- Managing the Citrine Angels Dealflow correspondence, including monitoring the Dealflow email address and messaging in our online application system, Dealum
- Qualifying applications from startups through referrals and our application platform to assist the Dealflow Committee in identifying 4-12 companies to participate in pre-pitch meetings per month
- Coordinating and attending an average of 4-6 virtual evening pre-pitch meetings each quarter
- Preparing for 6-8 evening virtual pitch meetings annually; tasks include helping to identifying companies, preparing the meeting deck and reviewing infosheets for startups
- Attending regular Dealflow Committee, Portfolio Committee and Operations meetings
- Maintaining records of applicants and filing applicant updates
- Supporting Portfolio Committee with data filing and light monitoring
Most work can be done remotely. Meeting attendance is expected, with other tasks having a flexible schedule. Expected time commitment will average 10-15 hours/month. A minimum commitment of 1 year is expected.
A qualified candidate will have:
- Strong understanding of investing and financial business terminology (MMR, Seed Round, SAFE Terms, Pre-money valuation, etc.)
- Familiarity of the venture capital industry such as product-market fit, fundraising rounds, and valuations
- Some experience having reviewed startup companies and assessing their capital readiness
- Outstanding communication and organization skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently and effectively with attention to detail while meeting strict deadlines
- Proficiency (or ability to learn) in G-Suite (Mail, Drive, Calendar) and Dealum
- Passion for helping women entrepreneurs and desire to educate women investors

The Dealflow Coordinator will report to the Director of Citrine Angels and work under the general supervision of the Citrine Angels’ President and Officers and the Dealflow Committee.
