Join us for an engaging and approachable introduction to angel investing that goes beyond the basics. This session is designed for women who are currently investing - or curious about investing - in early-stage companies and want to better understand how capital can be a powerful tool for both financial growth and meaningful impact.
We’ll explore:
What angel investing really is — and how it differs from venture capital, private equity, and crowdfunding
Why women’s capital matters, and how investing can help close gender wealth and funding gaps
The power of investing with purpose, aligning your investments with your values and priorities
How to get started, including accredited investor basics, syndicates, and angel networks
Come learn, connect, and discover how women are redefining what it means to invest — with intention, impact, and community.
This event is part of Citrine’s new Female Funder series, powered by Citrine Impact, designed to equip women with the knowledge, confidence, and community to become active early-stage investors. Future sessions in 2026 will dive deeper into portfolio construction strategies and deal evaluation (due diligence) fundamentals.
Members and pitch meeting guests are required to be accredited investors. Many people qualify without realizing it.
The SEC qualifies accredited investors based on wealth and income thresholds, as well as other measures of financial sophistication.
Most commonly, Citrine members qualify based on one or more of the financial criteria, listed below. You can view the the full list of qualifications on the SEC website here.
Net worth over $1 million, excluding primary residence (individually or with spouse or partner)
Income over $200,000 (individually) or $300,000 (with spouse or partner) in each of the prior two years, and reasonably expects the same for the current year
You’ll be asked to check a box confirming you qualify when you sign the membership agreement form.
NOTE: There is no additional form to “become” an accredited investor. You also don’t need to meet all of criteria on the SEC website – any of the items count.
Due to the sensitive nature of the discussions, we require that all attendees understand and respect its confidentiality.
