Members and guests are required to be accredited investors to attend this event. Many people qualify without realizing it.
The SEC qualifies accredited investors based on wealth and income thresholds, as well as other measures of financial sophistication.
Most commonly, Citrine members qualify based on one or more of the financial criteria, listed below. You can view the the full list of qualifications on the SEC website here.
Net worth over $1 million, excluding primary residence (individually or with spouse or partner)
Income over $200,000 (individually) or $300,000 (with spouse or partner) in each of the prior two years, and reasonably expects the same for the current year
You’ll be asked to check a box confirming you qualify when you sign the membership agreement form.
NOTE: There is no additional form to “become” an accredited investor. You also don’t need to meet all of criteria on the SEC website – any of the items count.
Due to the sensitive nature of the discussions, we require that all attendees understand and respect its confidentiality.
