For Investors

Our team sources potential investments from the DC metro area as well as other areas in the region, including Richmond, Virginia Beach/Norfolk, Baltimore, Wilmington and Philadelphia. Most individual investors don't have the time or inclination to do this themselves. We also believe it’s beneficial to meet a founder in person so we limit our geographical reach accordingly

Access to female-founded businesses from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region
Prescreening of potential investments
Opportunities to discuss potential investments with other members in a collaborative setting
A supportive environment for members without prior angel investing experience
Investor education program taught by subject matter experts
Flexible investment amount, with no minimum
Anonymity and confidentiality, if you so choose

Prescreening of Potential Investments

One or more of the group’s executive committee members will preview pitches and narrow the field to those who are most investment-worthy to present to the group at one of our monthly meetings

Collaborative Setting

We believe group discussions among potential investors with a variety of backgrounds improves the decision-making process for both fledgling and experienced investors

Flexible Investment Amount

As a group, we have a greater ability to meet a founder’s minimum investment threshold, enabling members to make smaller investments than may be feasible otherwise

Supportive Environment

Our monthly meetings and additional education sessions provide many occasions to meet like-minded women. In addition, our private online membership portal facilitates communication among members

Investor Education

Investor education is integral to our mission. Our Angel Investing 101 session provides a general introduction, and subject matter experts teach workshops to our members on topics relevant to early stage investing in more depth, including:

Investment Term Sheets and Legal Agreements

Understanding Financial Statements

How to Evaluate a Company's Team

Due Diligence Basics

Intellectual Property

Portfolio Strategy for Investors

Anonymity + Confidentiality

We will not publicize your involvement. If you would like to disclose your affiliation with the group, that is your choice
